Privacy policy

CallRecTz is published by Avinoam Tzedek, Israel ("we"). This policy explains what the app and this website handle. It is written to meet the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, as amended by Amendment No. 13.

Recordings stay on your phone

Call recordings, their names, numbers, durations and directions are stored only on your phone. We never receive them. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising.

A recording leaves your phone only when you choose to: when you share it, or when you export it with the Android file picker, for example to Google Drive. That copy is then governed by the service you chose.

Phone permissions

• Phone state and call log: to know when a call starts and ends and to name the recording. Read on the phone only.
• Contacts (optional): to show names and to apply exclusions. Read on the phone only.
• Notification access (optional, Premium): to detect WhatsApp calls. Only call notifications from WhatsApp are examined; message content is ignored.

What goes over the internet

• License check (Premium only): the license key is checked on the phone itself and is never sent anywhere.
• Settings and update check: about once a day the app downloads two small public files from this website. The host (GitHub Pages) sees your IP address. Nothing about you is sent.

Purchases

Payment for Premium is processed by Grow (Meshulam), an Israeli payment provider. It collects your name, email, phone number and payment details and processes the payment. We receive your name, email, phone number and order details from Grow, and use them only to send and manage the license key, answer support requests and meet tax and accounting obligations. We never see your full card number.

Diagnostics

The app keeps a short technical log on the phone (for example, when the recording engine stopped). It contains no audio, phone numbers or keys. It is sent to us only if you choose to share it.

Retention and your rights

Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires for accounting. You may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold by writing to atzedek@gmail.com. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your phone, including recordings you did not export.
